Your 12 Month Bridal Beauty Plan

Your wedding day beauty will be one of your main priorities and something that you will start paying attention to from the moment you commence your wedding planning. The beauty regime you adopt from that moment needs to help you achieve the look you want on your wedding day but getting that look doesn’t have to be difficult.

Follow out 12 month beauty planner to help you get the look you want the easy way:

12 months to go: Start thinking about your body shape and the size you want to be when you get married. Most brides want to loose weight and many want to tone up in preparation for the honeymoon. If you need advice then visit your GP to find out more on changing your lifestyle.

10 months to go: Start thinking about your wedding hair and the style you want. You may need to grow your hair or grow out your current style. Start looking for a stylist as well and book a trial run appointment with 6 months to go.

8 months to go: Cellulite! We all have it and we all hate it so start beating it by drinking around two liters of water a day and use a body brush to brush the skin daily.

6 months to go: Time to think about your smile. If your smile needs a little help then look into teeth whitening products and treatments. Home treatments can take some time to show results so give yourself plenty of time to use them for the best results.

4 months to go: Time to look at how your body shaping and diet are going. If you’re not getting the results you want or need a motivational boost then look into hiring a personal trainer. Now is the time to start using an exfoliate product once a week to get smooth skin.

3 months to go: Pay a visit to a beauty counter in your local department store for a free skin care consultation. If you need to change your routine do so as soon as possible to see the results by your wedding day.

2 months to go: Time to trial your wedding day look. If you have booked a make-up artist then it is time to have a trial run along with your hair trial (if you haven’t had this already). Take a photograph of your wedding dress and your hair accessories with you.

1 month to go: Time to work on that bridal glow. Go for a facial and choose one that will illuminate and rejuvenate your skin.

3 weeks to go: Tan time! If you want a sunkissed look then the safest way to achieve it is by faking it! Avoid the sun and sun beds so you don’t end up with sun burn instead of a nice golden glow. Book a session with a salon or do it yourself at home, but test the products first to ensure they won’t rub off allover your beautiful white wedding dress!

2 weeks to go: Take a trip to the hairdresser for a final trim and deep conditioning treatment. If a salon is too pricey then find a product which you can use at home. If you have colored hair then now is the time to get your roots touched up.

1 week to go: Have your eyebrows shaped and any other facial hair removed. Have a pedicure so your toenails look their best too.

1 day to go: Help yourself to relax by getting your fake tan done (if you are having one) and go for a manicure so your nails look beautiful for all those shots of your wedding ring. All that is left then is to get a good nights beauty sleep!
