Her duties include;
Before the wedding....
-
helping the parents
and bride with the invitations
-
organising appointments
for dress fittings, manicures, hairdressers etc.
-
throwing the shower
teas and hens nights
At the ceremony...
-
help the bride get dressed on the wedding
day
-
arrange the bride's dress and veil at the
ceremony
-
hold the bride's flowers during the ceremony
-
look after the grooms ring during the ceremony
and pass it to the bride at the appropriate moment
-
act as a witness ( for this reason she should
be over 18 years old)
At the reception...
-
stand in the receiving line with the bride
and groom
-
take charge of the wedding dress after the
ceremony
-
pack any gifts brought to the reception
and keep them safe until the couple return from honeymoon.
